Re: mathews legancy

Never shot a Legacy, but the design is a very good one. The Legacy was one of the first Mathews bows to really show it's parallel limb design introduced in 1996. If you are interested in one, I'd definately find a place where you can shoot one. Since it was discontinued this year, I'd say you could probably get a good deal on a new 2004.

I agree with NY911 100%. I went from an old Golden Eagle, to the Legacy, and I just could not get comfortable with the Legacy. The bow shot great, don't get me wrong. I just had trouble with the solid wall, and the narrow valley. If I relaxed the least little bit at full draw, the cam was starting to catch. At full draw, and on let down, the legacy is an extremely aggressve bow. This was at 62 pounds, so it wasn't as if I was over-bowed. I switched to an Outback and I absolutely love it. If you are going to dish out the money on a Legacy, make sure you shoot one first. Try shooting an Outback too. You'll see what I'm talking about. Good Luck!
