Strut10
And that, my friends, is why we take the time to pattern our own guns rather than taking somebody else's word for it.

Ironranger
Re: Wichester Xtended Range.... My patterns on my 870 Super Mag weren't that great with any shells at 40 yards. So I tried something this weekend. I took two sections of a cleaning rod, put my regular bore brush on the end, took one of those green scouring pad that are normally used for cleaning dishes, cut it so that it wrapped around the bore brush once with a little overlap on the end, put the other end of the rod into my cordless drill, stuffed a paper towel in the receiver to catch excess dirt/oil, poured some solvent down the barrel and also on the pad, and ran it up and down the barrel. Did it for about 5 minutes, then flipped pad over, poured some more solvent on it, and repeated. Then I cleaned it as I normally do. Took it out to my friend's house last night and at 40 yards I couldn't believe how much that pattern improved. I was using the Xtended Range shells and it was very even with alot of pellets in the kill circle plus up and down the head and neck from there. I then switched to those Flight Control Wad Federals and they shot much better too.
