snapper
Ok...I shot 3 different chokes and 2 different shells at 40 yards yesterday morning. My printer is on the blink so I could print out any turkey targets. I used 9" paper plates with a 3" circle in the middle. Gun...Rem. 870 super express with a bushnell red dot. Shells...3 1/2" Rem. Heavy shot #6's and 3 1/2" Federal flight control #6's. Chokes...Rem. turkey super full .660" constriction. Mad Max .655" constriction. And a Briley Heavy shot .675" constriction. 1. Results...Briley with Fed Flight controls...52 total hits with 11 inside the 3" circle. 2. Briley with Rem. HS...50 total hits with 5 inside the 3" circle. 3. Mad Max with FFC...83 total hits with 8 inside 3" circle. 4. Mad Max with Rem. HS...65 total hits with 7 inside the 3" circle. 5. Rem. choke with FFC...51 total hits with 7 inside the 3" circle. 6. Rem. choke with Rem. HS... 114 total hits with 19 inside the 3" circle Looks like I'm sticking with the Rem. Heavy shots again! The Flight controls did do a good job with the Mad Max tube...but there were too big of gaps inbetween patterns. There was actually a spot that I could have drawn another 3" circle on the plate with no bb's inside it. Those are my results with the Fed Flight controls with what I have been using.
