WHISKEYSWAMP
No deer yet but rut is only around the corner. I may try and get my doe out of the way this weekend. One less doe to steal my buck away.
Nut
Re: Ohio Bowhunters check in here Oldest son took his first deer the 10th(spike) and then my other 2 sons each had a miss. I got caught without a bow in my hands Yesterday by a doe standing broadside at 10 yards. LOL. If I had played the set up correctly my son and I both would have ended up with a doe easily. But I am glad it wasnt the buck I am after that busted me.

dkohio
Re: Ohio Bowhunters check in here I have been out a few times in Wyandot county. I have had several does and button bucks pass by but no bucks yet. Action was slow this morning. I saw two does come out of the thicket and go into the corn field and that was it. Ohiobucks
Re: Ohio Bowhunters check in here Hunting in Knox county has been tough. We are seeing deer, but the corn is still around. The farmers are getting it in, but the weather hasn't been cooperating with them very much. Another 2 weeks and the deer should be very active. Good luck all! timberghost
Re: Ohio Bowhunters check in here Well I am getting excited after a little bit of depression last weekend. I shot a Doe last friday and after 6.5 hours of traking her had to give up. I did have a nice buck under me last Sunday at my friends cabin in Hocking County but could not get a shot. I am hunting this weekend at another friends farm and I have head that the action is really heating up. I have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off this week and will be staying at the cabin in Hocking county. I report back with what I'm seeing. dkohio
Re: Ohio Bowhunters check in here Well I filled my doe tag two weeks ago. I had five deer pass by my stand today and saw several more out in the corn field. I have been seeing a decent 8 pt. chasing does but has yet to come close enough for a shot. I passed up a smaller 8 that had one double brow tine last week. Hopefully I don't have to regret that later. LOL
