VABuckSlayer
Re: spoons or spinner bait Most of the big bass I catch are on Jig-n-Pig's and Spinnerbaits. I've caught 3 bass this year so far over 6lbs and all 3 were caught on a spinnerbait. Jigs will get me one soon! In the summer I like buzzbaits in the early morning or late evening. I don't really use spoons much... however my dad caught a 8.3 lber on a Johnson Silver Minnow with a blue plastic worm trailer. It was a shallow lake with a lot of grass. Strut_Buster
Re: spoons or spinner bait Neither My weapn of choice for bass is the Shad Rap Jointed RS by rapala. On rivers i crank it down to 3 feet and let it hang right next to rocks. Its serioulsy the strike king for me. Even better then my texas rig. Jeramie
Re: spoons or spinner bait [ QUOTE ] Spoons are for Yanks!!!!! [/ QUOTE ] LMBO! Actually we use to catch channel cats on spoons. There is a spot at the bottom of the pumpback (on Lake Hudson) where the water is sort of shallow and gravel bottomed. We use to rig up a red and white spoon and put liver on the hook. You would then drop almost straight down, there wasnt much need to cast far, and just bounce the spoon real slow as you brought it back. Whaammmm! BLH
Re: spoons or spinner bait I love spinnerbaits for locating fish, but can't beat the soft-plastics for quality of fish. I use float worms, carolina rigs, and texas rigs for awsome largemouth action.
