God's Timing!

My wife and I made the conscious decision to have our first child, a couple of months ago. We were pregnant within a couple of months. She is not roughly 10.5 weeks along and we have been praising god every since.

We have every intention of paying Cash for the birth. If we use an insurance it is roughly $400 (or a little less) a month. With the Co-Pays and the Deductable it would put us way over what we were paying in Cash. On top of that you have to be on insurance a full year before the actual birth.... Err go, more money.

I started my new/ old job in December. I made my 90day stay last week and I am now considered Full time. Come to find out that in our group health plan, if you join while you are already pregnant they will pay for the birth. This is available to new customers only. There is some law about this.

We had already planned to pay cash but her insurance is now only $257.34 a month with a $1,000 co-pay! Thats a total of roughly $2, 801.38! By paying cash I was still paying roughly $4,500! We were also paying $75 a month for an emergency insurance incase the baby needed a surgery or there were any complications.... That is now gone too and would have cost another $675 for 9-months!

If it hadnt been for god's timing or if I would have demanded Insurance in my Contract we would still be forking over $4,500! I just got the news today and finished the paper work... Whats even cooler is I get my first raise in Salary today and it will cover almost the entire cost of her insurance! We wont even notice a real difference in pay!

I'm telling you, there's no reason to not trust the one standing back and looking at it all!

now if he could just do something about these gas prices......

Re: God\'s Timing!

COngratulations Jeramie! I know EXACTLY what you're talking about!

Let me share my story: This summer my wife was 27 weeks pregnant when she started bleeding one sunday eve. We rushed her to the local hospital, thinking she was losing the baby. Long story short, she was airlifted that night to a hospital 2 hrs away (which was the closest level 4 Neonatal hospital). She had to stay there 7 weeks until the baby reached 34 weeks and then they could take the baby by C-section. Well, we thanked GOD he protected our baby and we knew he led her to that hospital, we just didn;t know WHY at the time. Well, at 34 weeks they delivered our baby, but they could not stop my wife's bleeding. They had to call in a specialist(surgeon) and sHe was in surgery for over 6 hours and took 7 units of blood. Basically, the Dr. said if she had been anywhere other than that level 4 hospital, she would not have made it! It was then we knew why she was taken there!

There were so many things that happened over the course of those 7 weeks, and the timing of things that just PROVED God was at work. SO many things that even a non-believer would say it could not be coincidence! Well, needless to say, I can relate with your situation!

Well, God Bless and take care of your family. And let us know when the Blessed day arrives!

P.S> and he also made sure we had good insurance to pay for it all. We're still getting bills- it was over $200,000 just for the hospital stay alone- JUST room and board so to speak(for 7 weeks)- not including testing, dr. exams, procedures, surgery etc...... ALmost all of it covered by insurance.

Congrats J. He sure does do some miraculous thing when we don't expect it.

How far along are you? We are at 27 weeks right now and are having a boy. Luke Isaac

Cricket on a crutch!

If its a boy we are going with Luke too!

Our pastors wife told us we were pregnant one night at church. The next day we tested positive. She also told us that god would give us the name of the child. My father-in-law told us that for some reason he kept getting the name Luke. Then for a couple of weeks every preacher we saw on tv, heard on the radio, and even our pastor preached out of Luke.

If its a boy.... we're going with Luke. Btw, she's around 10.5 weeks right now. We still have a long way to go but im excited none the less...
