oo_buck
Buying a Weatherby Vanguard 30/06..... No iron sights are on it, so I'm looking for a good scope to top it off, that won't break the bank.... What is a good scope, brand, and power that is moderately priced? $100.00 or so? AJ
Re: Scope Reccomendations........ For that price, I would suggest the Simmons Whitetail Expedition 3-9x42 . Its one of the better scopes you can get for $120.
Guest gt2003
Re: Scope Reccomendations........ I'm with AJ. When I bought my rifle scope i compared and compared and compared. I ended up with a Simmons Aetec that was on sale for about 129 or 139 bucks. I think its their top of the line scope and I absolutely love it. I'm watching some on ebay that are brand new. I expect they'll go for about 120 bucks or so which would be a great deal. I'm thinking about picking one up for my muzzleloader. It just seems like with simmons you get a scope with more and better features for less money than many of the competitors.

snapper
Re: Scope Reccomendations........ For $150 bucks...I'd get another Nikon Pro-staff. It would take someone with a much better eye than myself to see the difference in my Nikon and Luepold Vari XII.
