markyj987
So, Jesse Jackson has sided with the Schindler family in the Terri Schiavo case. In his remarks yesterday, I believe he rightfully pointed out that this is indeed a civil rights issue. Perhaps I should just be happy he's on the right side of an issue for once in his life, but I cannot help but question his motives. Is it just an attempt to get back into the headlines? I was very surprised to see him getting involved with this. Of course, why does he wait until the TWELFTH DAY if he's actually sincere? Of course, it usually seems everything Jesse Jackson does is to improve the image or media coverage of Jesse Jackson. Who next? Jimmy Carter? You all know where I stand on the Schiavo issue. However, looking at Jackson's intervention objectively, I just can't see him being sincere. Of course, I don't know what's in his heart, but hearing much of what's in his brain, I tend NOT to believe anything he says or does. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Jesse Jackson on Schiavo case I'll say this: If the cameras weren't there, the Rev. Jesse Jackson would not be there. He may be sincere in his belief that Terri should be allowed to live, but there's no way he would be devoting his time and efforts toward that cause unless there was something in it for him. And in this case its the publicity.

wtnhunt
Re: Jesse Jackson on Schiavo case Jessie Jackson has no good intentions in getting involved in this, and personally I dont think it is any of his business. Too much media attention has already interefered with this families lives.
ParrotHead
Re: Jesse Jackson on Schiavo case Yep – the sloganmaster/publicity pimp himself has come to the rescue and should come as no surprise that he’s on the scene of a national story. Why the good reverend has made his own medical observation of the situation and claimed that Terri Schiavo is not brain-dead, merely brain-impaired. Thank you for your contribution Dr. Jackson, MD. Terri Schiavo is going to pass on any day now and this story will. However, the washed-up race warlord Jesse Jackson will be waiting in the wings for the next big event, and you can bet he'll be right there, desperately looking for a camera lens.
