Tominator
Maybe it's this cold I have or the 7 tons of limestone gravel I moved yesterday, or a combination of both, but man, I can hardly move today. Geesh, I'm getting old.

wtnhunt
Re: Good Lord I\'m Sore Guess using the tractor was not an alternative Chris? I could probably use about 2 more 25 ton loads of limestone on my drive now after all the rains we have had recently, just not ready to fork over the moneyfor gravel right now. Nice to have a loader to be able to put it exactly where I want it and pack it.

[/ QUOTE ] Hey Chris....do you feel sort of foolish now? Feeling your age too eh? Sounds like you had a senior moment to me. If I didn't know someone with a front in loader I sure would have hired some help to do that.
Ohiobucks
Re: Good Lord I\'m Sore You do know, Chris, they can tailgate that stuff right off the truck down your driveway......for free, right? Nancy...............

[/ QUOTE ] You're no longer my friend Aaron. Now you tell me. 7 tons of gravel really isn't too much. The pile was about 3' high, by 4' long and about 2' wide, and yeah, I hand shoveled it. William--I used the tractor on at least 7 or 8 tons, but the pile was too high, and the soil was too wet to push it where I wanted it. And yeah Tom, they tailgated the bulk of the 21 total tons. I just needed some extra stone for the drain tile I'm going to put in around the garage, but thanks for understanding, Mary.

Bruce Schmeck
Re: Good Lord I\'m Sore Well, when I was your age, I used to do that to warm up before breakfast. Sounds like you have to adopt my pop's old theory. "That's why I had all you boys!" That does sound like a lot of stone but isn't really too big of a pile, trust me I know.
