Taking the boy hunting tomorrow...

I'm taking my 4 year old son out to sit in my blind for an hour tomorrow around 10am. That way there is no walking in the dark to scare him, plus should I happen to get a shot, I can trail a deer in the light and he can be involved and also I don't have to worry about him getting out of my sight. I figure 1 hour is about all he will be interested so I don't have high hopes of getting a deer tomorrow, but thats ok. grin.gif

Good luck Ken. Hope you get one with him with you. Getting the kids out is great. My 8 year old has been going with me since she was about 4 and she loves it.

My younger daughter, 3 wants to go with me this year too. That new blind we built should make it nice for getting her and my 8 year old both out.

thats great your taking your son, Nothing better than having your children with you ,,,,, my daughter wants to go with me this year, my expectations are too high with her there, shes like her mother talk talk talk ,,, layed down the ground rules, no barbies, etc etc etc... and to sit still...lol yeah right ,,, grin.gif

Re: Taking the boy hunting tomorrow...

We're back!!! We went out this morning and sat for an hour. He talked the whole time and I kept reminding him to whisper, but he was well behaved anyways. All we saw was a few flocks of geese but we had a great time. At one point in the hunt I asked him what he wanted to do... meaning are you bored and want to leave and he responded by saying "hunt". He then leaned over and hugged me!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif
