JimT
Went out this afternoon after a turkey, and did not see any. However, I saw a doe and fawn way out and decided to try and call them over. It worked!!! They ended up at me about 20 minutes later. Last light. No shot on the doe, and the fawn would be tastey, I am in the expanded zone, freezer is low. Take it. I shot at it three times and missed every time. All under 20 yards. Embarrasing. All I can say now, is when I shoot my bow tomorrow it better be off...LOL. If not, I stink. The mighty whitetail is kicking my butt this year........ dogdoc
Re: JimT=Choker at least you had arrows to shoot that's what you get for trying to shoot a fawn better luck next time todd
Chrud
Re: JimT=Choker Were they laughin' at you? That's why it's hunting and not killing. Who knows, your bow could have been bumped somewhere or some other mechaincal problem.
mainebuck
Re: JimT=Choker LOL... I feel for ya man. I had something similar happen last year. Had two yearlings in and missed twice at under 20 yards. I think it's a subconscious thing with those big bucks you've been seeing. Your trigger finger won't let you shoot a little one. dartonman
Re: JimT=Choker Big Jim...,my extremely honest friend...buddy, first day of season, I nicked a doe, then she went out and fed on beans and kept looking around for the evil one trying to shoot her, I whispered to my friend that I only miss one time all year.....trust me buddy, better things to come....have faith, tighten down your gear, and try to remain FOCUSED for the last 5 seconds of the shot......you will never miss again....if you need meat, I have some tasty snack sticks next weekend from the swamp buck....you can naw on one till the does come back.......this will be the one and only miss of the year.....now get that predator instinct kicking in, and make us proud................al
