mainebuck
I usually like whatever i can get a good buy on. I have some realtree hardwoods, hardwoods green. some advantage timber and a little bit of mossy oak. My lacrosse boots are the mossy oak new breakup. blends in pretty well when up in a hardwood tree.
tedicast
Re: Favorite type of...... I use mostly Advantage Timber, and some Hardwoods Green. If I didn't have so much tied up in RT camo, I would probably start switching over to Predator camo. It is a very versatile camo.

Tominator
Re: Favorite type of...... Pretty much Advantage here. I do have some old Mossy Oak, but it's too dark for our areas.
Chrud
Re: Favorite type of...... I only use Realtree and Advantage. Hardwoods HD is PERFECT in Wisconsin hardwoods from late October to May. I also like Hardwoods Green HD, Timber and Max-4 HD. I probably have more Timber and Max-4 HD than Hardwoods Green HD. I have a ton of Hardwoods HD. That "other" camo is way too dark for around here. I don't like much green in my camo either.
buckee
Re: Favorite type of...... I agree with Chrud on the camo selection. I also wish someone made a good grassy-fenceline camo
Chrud
Re: Favorite type of...... [ QUOTE ] I also wish someone made a good grassy-fenceline camo [/ QUOTE ] Max-4 HD is what I use for that type of terrain. I bought an Ameristep Brickhouse TSC in Max-4 HD to use on field edges. We have a lot of tall grass and golden rod and it blends in PERFECTLY! It's a real good grassy pattern.

Swamphunter
Re: Favorite type of...... [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] but also like Seclusion 3D. [/ QUOTE ] I dont' really like the way seclusion 3d is. Im sure it works fine, but i think it is to green. pat [/ QUOTE ] Thats what I use during our archery season. In NY archery starts as early as Sept 27th and ends just two weeks into October. I make the switch gradually as the leaves change to more fall like colors. Since this was bowhunting related, that is why I mentioned the Seclusion. Works great for the early NY archery season! I use what ever is available for me to get in this backwoods (backwards) state, and what ever the wallet dictates.... ,,,,everyone has seen what I used for the backdrop in my arrow posts, and now know what I am reduced to using, I wood definately love some RealTree Camo but good luck finding some at a reasonable price if at all here... ThethirdI
Re: Favorite type of...... I have used just about everything on the market at one time or another. It is my opinion and only my opinion that what looks good to a human on the rack looks like a sore thumb to deer in the wild. If they had the same vision we do then maybe the "busy" camo patterns would look better to them. I have taken black and white pictures of me in a lot of situations wearing all different kinds of camo and although I like it tweaked a little in certain situations the Predator looks the best in black and white. It breaks your outline up the best.
Born4it
Re: Favorite type of...... Definitely Advantage Timber for Illinois!! Easily my favorite. The others seem a little too dark colored, especially Mossy Oak!! Good luck, Ryan
HEAVIER_THAN_STEEL
Re: Favorite type of...... I use Realtree Hardwoods HD for both bowhunting and turkey hunting it really blends in well with the changing leaves, and in the spring it can be good camo for sitting up against a tree in the leaves that have fallen from that past fall! longislandhunter
Re: Favorite type of...... I use Realtree hardwood HD and the new Mossy Oak Break up. I like both and both have resulted in venison in the freezer, but the woods I hunt most of the time favor me using the Mossy Oak.
