Guest antlers21
Well I shortened my draw length on my mathews outback and when the pro shop changed my cam they put a right hand cam on my left hand bow. I started to sight it in and when I got to full draw the string exploded and fell on my arm. My brother nor I have a clue where the arrow went and lucky it didn't hit him. Now I have a crack in my lower limb and it will get two new limbs and the proper cam put on at no charge but do I want the same pro shop to do it? Or would you take it to another mathews dealer and have them handle it. I dont know what I want to do?
tedicast
Re: Lucky & Pissed I'm not sure I would trust the pro-shop to touch my bow again honestly!. There is no reason for that.. If you look at the cam# there is an R, or an L designating right or left handed cam. You really have to be not paying attention to screw that up! I would find another pro shop!!! Glad you and/or your brother weren't hurt!
Guest antlers21
Re: Lucky & Pissed rhubee, I am from detroit lakes. How about you? I have another mathews dealer about 45 minutes away and heard good things about him so I may bring it there.

MCH
Re: Lucky & Pissed I'd find another pro shop. Recently, the speed fins on my Bodoodle started wearing out. This caused me to have to change my sights almost daily. Finally made it to a pro shop and bought some new fins. It wasn't my normal pro shop but I figured it would work. Well, after a couple of hours of paper tuning and nock/rest adjusting, it appearred I was set. So I get home and start shooting my bow the next day, and the serving between the knots on my D-loop come loose. I've also started getting a flyer every two or three arrows. Needless to say, I'm getting very irritated. I got my bow back today from my normal pro shop and it shoots like a dream. It was sad, but I was already contemplating on getting a new bow. I'd even started shooting at the same dot at 20 yds because my three shot group wouldn't be touching. But today changed that. Can't shoot 3 shot groups at 30 now. Sure feels good to have confidence in your bow and your pro shop.
Tominator
Re: Lucky & Pissed If the "somewhere else" would do it for free, I'd take it there, but I don't see that happening. The pro shop that screwed it up in the first place is the liable party.

I would call them and tell them what occurred and have them pay for another shop (or the factory for that matter), to repair the bow. konfuzed
Re: Lucky & Pissed Wow, I would definately let them know what they did. I would also contact them in regards to them PAYING for what they did, but they wouldn't be the ones fixing it.

Guest antlers21
Re: Lucky & Pissed mathews is warrantying the whole thing! I already been talking with a tech from mathews online and let them know what happened but they said that mathews is still covering the new limbs and cam. They said that they want to change both limbs instead of just the cracked one so that is cool.

Guest antlers21
Re: Lucky & Pissed Yes I am going to give the other mathews dealer a try. It is 45 miles farther away but as long as he knows what he is doing that is fine with me. I have talked to a few people who have done business john at prairie archery and they all said he is very good so next week I am bringing it to him. Just wanted some input, I have done lots of business with my old shop and am friends with one of the guys there.
tedicast
Re: Lucky & Pissed Maybe its time to get a bowpress, and start working on your own bows. That way you will at least know things are done right. If you haven't already, check out the Mathews forums. Mathews Forums There is a ton of info on that sight, and a lot of extremely knowledgeable people to help you.
