wtnhunt
Re: hunting tips Welcome to the forums. Have to agree with AJ here. Learning about what the deer are doing and patience are really the key for me.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: hunting tips Pay attention to what's going on around you. If there are does or small bucks in front of you and they start acting nervous, get ready. A big buck may be walking up on them. The other deer will ALWAYS see another deer approaching before you do. Bushman
Re: hunting tips Welcome. My one tip is to do exactly what your doing. Ask questions and lots of them. Saskman was my whitetail tutor. I learned a tonne from him. In the field experience will teach you very quickly. Best learning subject out there. Guest Big_Game_Hunter_64
Re: hunting tips u will hardly ever see the entire deer. so just look for parts of the deer(ear ,antler, nose,). OR look for a movement in the trees hint: if your looking in tall grasses or trees look for something thats going horizantal(antler beam, back)
Guest grunt0331
Re: hunting tips the first thing I'd do is spend a lot of time at the range honing your shooting skils. Next i'd read as much as possible. When I actually started hunting, I'd look for sign where two types of cover meet (cleaer-cut meets mature hardwoods, swamp edges, etc). I've had a lot of luck on these. Like the others siad, ask questions, even those you think aren't worth asking.
