Re: bows

The best thing to do is go to a proshop and shoot it. You can just look at a bow and get an idea of it. I had my heart set on a RazorTec, but when I went to the shop for the first time, even though I didn't shoot anything, I changed my mind to the XTEC.

I would say that you should go to a proshop first and see what they offer. They'll help you out. If you are just a beginner, or a youth, I wouldn't spend a lot, because chances are that you'll out-grow the bow within a year or two. I bought my first bow in 2002. By this spring, I had already out-grown it. Just something to think about. I know I wouldn't want to get a $1000 rig just to use it for a couple years and out-grow it.

Re: bows

don't go with the hype. leave your options open and shoot as many bows in your budget and you will find one that will work for you. it is the best way i have found to get the bow that fits me. if you do that and go with an open mind you will find the best bow oout htere for your needs. good luck and shoot and enjoy looking for your bow
