James7xChamp3
Since My Red Sox weren't fairing to well, I ended up watching this game. Simply said, it was one one of the best games I have watched. Michigan St. came back from a 16 pt. second half deficit to win. It was awesome! tedicast
Re: Michigan St. & Tennessee (Womens) You are right James, that was great game! Michigan blew a big first half lead, then Tennessee couldn't close it out in the second half. I'm glad UT got beat. The only thing better than UT getting beat, is the Uconn Women winning. UC has beat UT the previous 3 years in the final 4, but the had a very off year this year.

[/ QUOTE ] That pretty much sums up what UC is without Diana Taurasi.

Look at Tennesee, after their dominance in the 90's, they haven't won a championship since 1997. They have had some of the very best players in womans basketball go through their program, and leave without a championship ring. Loree Moore, Shyra Ely, Kara Lawson, Michele Snow, to name a few. Look at Alana Beard with Duke. She was the one player that played at the same time as Diana Taurasi that you can argue was her equal if not better. Duke never even came close to a championship in those 4 years, going to prove that even a great player, doesn't make a team. It takes a suporting cast, and superior coaching. UC will be back on top. That is a gaurantee.

Arguably the best college player at the time, he had no help and just like other Keady teams, they never made it very far in the tournament.
