py_archer
During dry seasons in your area, have you observed birds going to water and if so what time of day was it? What do you think the prefered watering time is?
PAbowhunter4life
Re: Going to water? I have seen this a few times, but personally I have never observed a set time so to speak. I personally think that turkeys go on about their daily routines as usual and when they get to a creek they utilize it, no matter what time of day it is. Rhino
Re: Going to water? Not here in Mississippi because getting water is never a problem here. I have seen it in Texas where birds will go to tanks to get water during the midday hours.
py_archer
Re: Going to water? I believe you guy's are right, there is no set time. Thought I'd ask though. I've never been able to figure it out. I know when they roost over water they got to be drinking it, but sometimes where they are roosted I know there is no water and it plays in my mind trying to figure a game plan. Another spot I hunt is a spring seep that I know the birds are using from all the sign, but hunting it is hit or miss, mostly miss as I've only bagged one bird there in 8 yrs. A whole flock came in about 11:
