Guest Iambenelliguy
I was just wondering what everyone thought of the comp-n-choke tubes. I just ordered an xxx-full for my benelli. What does everyone think of this choke tube?
Guest ketchum
Re: Comp-n-choke A lot of people on here like the cnc. I personally don't like it at all. The GT which is made at the same place is much better.

JimT
Re: Comp-n-choke I have the same choke for my Beretta. I get very good patterns out of it with #5 Win Supreme shot.
silentgate
Re: Comp-n-choke Just bought one 2 weeks ago. I couldn't get the new Federal Flitecontrol shells to pattern worth a darn out of my Mossberg 835. I've read that you shouldn't use a ported or slotted choke with this load anyway. Had better luck shooting the Winchester HV loads.

KYLimbHanger
Re: Comp-n-choke I have shot a CNC for years now. But, like TURK4RF said, they are not suited for HeviShot. And, mine doesn't pattern well with the Federal FliteControls. So, I am shooting a regular style choke (non ported) with my Federal FC's. My friend shoots Kick's Gobbling Thunder (same co. as CNC) and it patterns great.

silentgate
Re: Comp-n-choke OKbwhtr, what's your constriction on your Comp-N-Choke....670 or .680? Also, what brand and size shells are you using with your 835, Comp-N-Choke combo??

LifeNRA
Re: Comp-n-choke I also have one on my 835, it gave me 49 head and neck hits at 40 yards!!! Come on April 30th!!!!!!!
borch
Re: Comp-n-choke [ QUOTE ] I have a CnC on my 11-87 and it gives me a good pattern with Win HV #5's but the only probelm is your limited to only lead shot. Comp-n-choke does not recommend any type of hevishot and it is ported so the new Federals might not work as well either. But it is still a good choke but your limited!! [/ QUOTE ] You can shoot the new Winchester Extended out of them. They are simular to hevishot in density but softer.
