stevebeilgard
got to thinkin', guys. (rare occurance for me) anyway, there are about 350,000 visits to this site each week. what can americans do to help the us/canadian border deal with beef. give us some addresses to write/gripe to. i think quite a few on this site would like to help. just need the shortcuts to the who/where people. fisherguy
Re: WHAT CAN WE DO Nothing. IMO Your government and FDA said to open it but a Judge who is elected by US cattle ranchers ruled to stop it. Unless you can convince a judge in a ranching area to change his ruling it will drag on just like the softwood lumber(again ruled illegal by every body that has heard the case yet still going on). birddog
Re: WHAT CAN WE DO [ QUOTE ] Lying Little Leo McDonnell-he's a disgrace to honest cattlemen on both sides of the border. [/ QUOTE ] I appologize for not being more up on names, but who is Leo McDonnell? Where is he from? Give me some info: It seems that "we" in the states don't hear any of this: I get my feedback from buddies, like I, who hunt Canada: and have great experiences, but our friends North of the Border have started to say "sorry guys, I have friends who raise cattle and I can't let you on, because of the beef banning" I would like more info, so I can pass it on to hunters in MN and other "border" states: You can email me with any info at [email protected] or post here. Thanks...I seriously would like more info, especially if there is someone or a band of "someones" who are causing trouble.....like I said, we hear little. superguide
Re: WHAT CAN WE DO Leo McDonnel is R-Calfs main spokesperson and has total some blatant lies about Canadian cattlemen and our beef industry. Basically R-Calf is trying to prolong the border closure for financial gain but are cloaking with health risk lies. Several R-Calf members have actually bought so called unsafe Canadian calves hoping to profit off them when border opens.Things will never be the same after this deal between the western border states and the western provinces I'm sad to say.
