borch
Well all I can say is make sure you register your first turkey you harvest. Even if it's a little one. I will provide a consolation prize for the lowest scoring turkey registered for the contest. So there's hope for all of us. More info on what the prize will be later. Carry on... lil hunter
Re: New development in the turkey contest. Wasn't it in the rules that you must enter your FIRST turkey. Or was that last year?
snapper
Re: New development in the turkey contest. Yes lil....you must enter your first bird. I think borch is just letting folks know that even a little bird can win something (just didn't word it right ).
snapper
Re: New development in the turkey contest. SCtrophyHunter...I believe borch is refering to the turkey contest we have here every year. If your in the contest, you'll have to follow the rules on how to enter the bird. I'm guessing since this is your first post...your not in the contest! Congrats on your bird...and make sure to get in next year!

Squirrelhunter91
Re: New development in the turkey contest. I saw a really big Tom this weekend and guess what, I already picked him. That's the one I'm gonna shoot. As he was walking, that beard was dragging on the ground..
borch
Re: New development in the turkey contest. Yes you need to enter the first bird you shoot in the contest. What I was getting at is I know last year some didn't bother entering a bird they shot becuase it didn't score well. So what I'm saying is enter it even if you feel it might not help your team out much. Although I do remember a certain bearded hen entered last year. Didn't score well but I bet she tasted good. borch
Re: New development in the turkey contest. Here's the consolation prize. It's a hand crafted custom figured maple box call by a pretty much unknown maker. Good Luck!

Bow Hunter Derek
Re: New development in the turkey contest. Man if you'd only done this last year, I'd have taken home the prize! No one could top my bearded Osceola hen last year. I think she scored somewhere around a 16 NWTF! Now that is small.
