GPS Systems Help!!!

Waypoints are locations you mark in your GPS.

Routes are trails you make while moving around with your GPS.

Retraceable Plot trails means you can back-track the way you went in as to get back out!

Points in any trail would be like intersection sign posts, they let you know that your following the right trail you made.

Which GPS do you have?

Re: GPS Systems Help!!!

Ok unit I guess, the radio thing I dont care for. I have a MP3 Player. I have the Garmin Vista, I like this unit a lot. Has plenty of storage space for maps. I have 2/3 of Pennsylvania in topo maps stored in my unit! Besides Cabela's sells this unit for $269, I got it from Wal-mart for $218. Just letting you know what I use, good luck!

Re: GPS Systems Help!!!

Dont forget to look at their different packages for each GPS! I forgot to mention them! Then again buy what you want! I was just telling you what I have. It is a good unit, but just like any GPS, you need a clear veiw of the sky. Or else you might not pick up a signal. Very thick trees with lots of leaves are bad for any GPS. Open water or land will work the best! It also depends what part of the country your at. You may not be able to get the WAAS satelite. There are only two WAAS satelites that cover the USA. One on the East coast, and one on the Weat coast. But you shouldnt have any problems with the west coast! That is the one that can get you within 3 meters!

Believe me I still have some learning on this thing too! LOL! grin.gif
