craig mack
I would use them on a travel route and make sure they have a licking branch over head.
wtnhunt
Re: mock scrapes Have used a scrape dripper with pretty decent results with active scrape in the dripper and my own urine in the scrape. That one is in a bit of a funnel area inside a narrow strip of woods just up the hill a bit from the river. That scrape sees pretty good activity. Have had others that have also worked fairly well at the edge of the woods and a field.

too_pointer
Re: mock scrapes Every year I say I'm going to try my own and never have. I certainly think it is worth the try with all the positive comments from different posts in here on it. I think the location must be the biggy on doing this. A agree a funnel area would be great for it too_pointer

wtnhunt
Re: mock scrapes The licking branch is a must, and you need to use some scent on it as well. Think a glandular scent would probably work best on the licking branch, but I have used everything from active scrape to tinks 69 to James Valley scents doe in estrous, which seemed to work really well. Guest SRA
Re: mock scrapes i've had a lot of luck using Hawgs Limited synthetic scents........must have that licking branch, and put your scrape in an area that bucks will feel comfortable in. good luck
