Guest lilcrackshot
I have shot several single shot rifles in smaller calibers but I was wondering how they perform 243 and up. H&R, NEF is my main focus.
JimT
Re: Single Shots I had a Handi-Rifle in .223. Should have kept it. It shot great.....I would buy another one in a second.
AJ
Re: Single Shots I have a couple Handi Rifles with 22 Hornet, 223 Rem, 45-70, and 30-06 (Ultra Comp). Each gun will fire MOA or better groups at 100 yards. They are great guns. I have been thinking about getting the 32" 45-70 barrel for mine. johnf
Re: Single Shots I have an NEF 243 with a Nikon Pro-staff 3-9X 40 and can hit a pop can fairly easily at 250 yards off a rest. I can keep about a 1/2" group at 100 yards.

Guest gobblergetter15
Re: Single Shots I think they are great for varmint shooting but for deer and up I want either a lever action, bolt action, or semi-auto.But you cant beat the price on a single shot. AJ
Re: Single Shots [ QUOTE ] But you cant beat the price on a single shot. [/ QUOTE ] I take it you have never heard of Dakota Rifles. Their Model 10 is a superb single shot rifle. The popular Ruger Number 1 is not exactly cheap.
