Well in 4 days my turkey season has gone from ok to awesome! smile.gif This moring at about 6:50 me and buddy andrew get set up on a ridge. We did not hear anything all morning so about 7:30 i was feeling anxious and we decided to sneak down to a field and set up there til about 9 cause i had class at 10. Well we are sitting there and i throw him a slate by Tom Teasers and he is learning how to use it and i'm calling with my othe 3 or 4 calls. We are just goofing around laughing and talking a just having a great time. At about 8:00 we hear what we thought was a gobble and previously i had gobbled on a Ben Lee gobble box just playing around. Anyway the bird gobbles again and is getting closer. The bird enters the field and gobbles and starts to strut and spit. and works his way close to us. I look at andrew and he is shaking and i tell him to just relax that he's gonna come right in our laps. The bird struts all the way in and gobbles evry now and again. the bird turns toward the decoys that i had set out about 25 yards and andrew puts the gun on his head and the bird comes out of strut and i say "SHOOT EM" and BOOMMMM!! the bird folds!! we exchange high fives and laughs and jump the fence and run out and pick a 17 pound 8 1/2 in beard and 3/4 in spurs bird!! If i can figure out how to put pictures on here i'll try and get some posted!! If any one could help me on that matter i'd appreciate it. Planning on going this weekend with benelli_man down to S. GA. Will let everyone know how things go on that hunt.

til next time ---Jake
