horst
Just curious, anyone hunt with one of these? We were shooting my uncles 44 last weekend and had a blast but I wasnt sure it was something id wanna try killing a deer with.On the other hand it would be a lot easier to manuaver in the standing corn and cattails than a blackpowder rifle and shooting ranges in these areas is usually 20 yrds or less anyway.Anyway, just wondering if these were even an option worth considering and if they are does anyone have any suggestions for a medium priced one that will work?I know very little about them myself and dont even know what to look for
ZooBear
Re: Blackpowder revolver? Sounds like fun but the ones Ive shot are limited to about 30 grains of black powder. Way to light for deer IMHO. Check out Track of the Wolf or Dixie Gun Works for some nice ones.

magnatecsteve
Re: Blackpowder revolver? I had a Navy 44, not terrible accurate, but could hit a deer good at 30 yds, but not much knock-down. Check your state requirments
horst
Re: Blackpowder revolver? State requirements are just that the bulet must be .357 or larger and othr than that theres not a whole lot of regulations if theyre blackpowder. magnatecsteve
Re: Blackpowder revolver? Same here. In Indiana must be single shot .50 cal with .44 or larger bullet and have at least a 12 inch barrel...FYI
