deershed
Re: how many....? My average before last year was in the 30's for a year. Last year I wanted to see if I could hit the 100 shed mark in a year. Well, after a long hard season I found 110 sheds for the 2004 season.I'm not sure where that takes my average now. deershed
Re: how many....? WOW!! Congrats!! I hope you got the little sheds on the bottom of the pile, all I see are big ones. Looking around the room it looks like you spend a little time outdoors. What's that pile of sheds on the left side of the pic?
Guest antlershed
Re: how many....? deershed, I do spend a lot of time outdoors. The pile of sheds are some from a previous year.
Guest LDB
Re: how many....? I usually find about 100 sheds in a year. 2004 was my highest year with 197. This year I don't have as much time to get out because of work, but I might still hit the 100 mark. All my antlers are in bins. Maybe when work slows down a bit I'll take some shed pile photos. 6sixpoint_nobrows
Re: how many....? thats awesome, elk sheds look like they would be easy to find because they are so big.. are they fairly easy to find or not?
deershed
Re: how many....? Those elk sheds were found upstate Pa. where I was told the herd has about 100 branch antlered elk.The bigger bull's sheds are almost picked up as fast as they fall. The raghorn's like the ones I found there are many more bulls ,but are harder to predict when and where they will drop. You'll see bigger bulls with this years antlers already 2" long and then see a raghorn still carrying last years antlers. I'm a 4 hour drive from where the elk are which doesn't help.
