I saw on one of the sites I went on that 25-30 feet maybe a little more like 35 is a sufficient enough height to be at so the deer can't pick up your scent or movement. But to tel you the truth I am scared of heights myself. But don't use a treestand cuz our club that I belong to made it that we couldn't have one cuz ppl went and misused the privelege.
