AJ Posted October 20, 2004 Report Share Posted October 20, 2004 Its a very efficient cartridge. It has low noise and very little recoil. Since it is not a factory chamber, it is done in custom guns and is super accurate. It will hold its own with the .17 Rem with lighter bullets, but falls behind when using the heavier 30 and 37 grain bullets. You will need a new cleaning rod, jag, brushes, etc. The little .17 caliber guns can foul a bit so proper cleaning to keep the fouling controlled will maintain your accuracy. I went to moly bullets in my .17 Rem. It made a world of difference while shooting varmints. I could shoot a lot longer and keep the accuracy compared to naked bullets.
