Swamphunter
I read a lot posts from guys that seem to trade their bows every year. This brings a question up for me. Do you find it hard to adjust into good shooting form, good grip and such with the feel of a new bow every year? My last bow I had for the better part of 12 years and it was (not to sound cheesy but), kind of like an extension of my arm. I knew the bow, and could almost shoot it instinctively (sp?). I purchased a new bow a couple years back and I have to say, I am still not nearly as comfortable with it as I was the other bow. Tell me your thoughts.... tedicast
Re: Staying vs switching? I know what you mean swampy. I had my Golden Eagle since 1996. Bought the Legacy right after Christmas, and for the life of me, I couldn't get comfortable with it. Now I'm shooting an Outback, and I'm gonna have to guess that I will get a few years out of this bow.
RyanH
Re: Staying vs switching? I know what you mean! But I love to experiament and learn about new stuff! Learning about a new bow just is never ending! So yes I love getting a new bow ever couple years!
Tominator
Re: Staying vs switching? Always wondered that too Ken. I've had 3 bows in my life. Each bow averages about 7 years before picking up something new. To be honest, I'm thinking of shooting a Switchback, even though I've only had my Legacy for 3 years. JimT
Re: Staying vs switching? I think someone could adjust fairly quickly to a new bow. I had my last bow for nine years...And have had this one for two. I am planning on keeping it for at least 6-8 more years. I like my bow alot! GWSmith
Re: Staying vs switching? Think about this for awhile.... What touches the Bow??? OK...LOL...after slapping your head like Homer Simpson Look at your GRIP Try taking the grip off and just holding the bow with the bare riser...you may get a completely different Feel from it and like that better than what you have now. Ken, there are custom grips out there that will give you a different feel but they can get expensive too...Custom PSE Grips Hey man...we have seen your work before...you could probably turn one out in no time with your wood working skills!!! VTbowman
Re: Staying vs switching? I am death from above, and on the ground, with mine and have no reason to "upgrade". My SQ2 kills and I can hit 1" spots out to 40 yards with it on a good day. I will have to get a pretty darn good deal on something new to change what I've already got. Even then that would most likely be a used bow... LOL Now trad bows??? It seems you can't have enough of those. LOL
