Chrud
Picked up my Switchback after just a week on order today. I want to redo the fleece on the rest and riser shelf a bit and will take some pictures of it for you guys later on. I decided to go with the Schaffer MAT-1 rest. I took one shot through the paper with a GT Pro Hunter 75/95 and it was a touch nock-low. We decided to leave it and run a couple hundred shots through it and see how it is in a week or two and adjust it then if necessary. Sure seems easy to tune, a whole 1 shot. I didn't get a chance to chrono it yet. I'm not getting any arrows done up pretty until later on. But with the arrows I'm using now, they are pretty heavy at about 400 grains, but my gosh they are smokin' out of that bow!

maddhunter
Re: The Switchback Is Home! Congratulations and welcome to the Switchback familly!!!!! Sure glad I didn't have to order mine, don'y think I could have stood the wait The dealer I used has about 20 different Mathews bows and can change the draw length on any of them right there in the store. THIS BOW IS AWSOME!!!!!!
Tominator
Re: The Switchback Is Home! Very cool Matt. OK, sell me. How much better is the Switchback than the Legacy? Should I go out and shoot a Switchback?
Chrud
Re: The Switchback Is Home! Never shot the Legacy. But from what people who have shot both have been saying, the Switchback is much better. I wouldn't have a problem if it came in an 80 pound version. The 65% let-off takes some getting use to. But, it makes you shoot from the wall. With 75%, some people have a tendancy to creep forward a bit. You creep with 65% and you're almost guaranteed to have to let down and start over. I like it. Should I go out and shoot a Switchback? [/ QUOTE ] Do you really think that is what it is? I'll tell you a little story. I like to golf. I had a driver, Cleveland Launcher 330. If I caught it just right, that thing would go a mile. But I had a tendancy to slice the ball a bit. A soft fade, not a big banana slice. Anyway, it had to be the club. So, I got rid if it, invested more $$$ into my current driver, a Taylor Made R580, 9.5 degree loft, stiff graphite shaft. I still fade the ball........... Congrats your your new bow Chrud, hope you have years of success with it!

Biiggest difference IMO is due to the round cam on the SB & OB you have a smoother draw than the Legacy... you don't have that "roll over" at the end of the draw lik the Legacy has. I also like the grip on the SB a little better. Both the SB and OB are quiet and smooth, how much more than the Legacy is up to you but I do plan to sell my Legacy after turkey season and buy a Switchback [ QUOTE ] A soft fade, not a big banana slice. [/ QUOTE ] Translation = It usaully just glances off the guy on the next green over instead of nailing the guy 2 greens over

If I like it, and I can get a decent price for my Legacy, why not? And Oh, BTW, How long have I known you? And how many bows have you had in that span? ----> <----
