HEAVIER_THAN_STEEL
I went out last saturday with my brother to see if we could get me a good gobbler. It started off bad because the gobblers were hened up bad. But we kept walking and then stoping and callin but that didnt work finally were heared something coming over the top of the hill just as we were going up to the top we thought it was just a squirrle but it popped over and sure enough a turkey it was. we didnt have our face masks up or nothin and he just started to walk torward us and i thought it was a jake but i couldnt see the beared and he started to turn and walk away at a fast pace with his head bobbling and i seen the small beard and my brother had a clear shot and thought i did to but i was really thick and i shot and sticks flew and so did the bird like he was untouched. But i would like to thank my brother for calling for me this past weekend Thanx Matt!

redbeard
Re: I missed my first bird Well, unlike deer huntin' where you get your shirttail cut, you get congratulations for gettin' close enough to shoot one of 'em. You've only got 19 more to surpass my misses.
LifeNRA
Re: I missed my first bird I did last year too! It was a very big bird too! But hey keep at it! It would have been my first spring time bird! I only ever hunted for turkey in the fall. That was until three years ago! Now I say Fall what??? LOL!
