ParrotHead
I’m not sure if anyone caught Good Morning America this morning but it was the same story – the media is all in a frenzy about the new Pope. Charlie Gibson was interviewing an Ach Bishop, sorry the name escapes me but the last question to the Bishop was a flamer that good ole Charlie wasn’t expecting. I can’t remember the exact question but it had to do with American’s being upset because the new Pope was such a “hard-liner” when it came to homosexuality and women in the church and Bishop had this as a response. “It’s time that Catholics stopped getting listening to the media to get their scripture and more to the church” I’m guessing Charlie wasn’t ready for that one and thus the interview ended right then. What a response – I rolled in the floor laughing.
AaronS
Re: I may become Catholic! I love his answer, but I think that instead of ending with "and more to the church" it should have been "and more to the bible". But hey, that's just me. [/ QUOTE ] Glad to see that they got a conservative pope, but I agree with you they should go to the bible, not the church. but that is the whole catholic system, the church has more power than scripture.
