Jeramie
I had an optometrist appointment yesterday. Its the first one ive had in years. I always told myself I could see fine but everyone says your eyes adjust and youre really blind but dont realize it until you get glasses/ contacts. I did a set of drawings for this guy so in partial trade he decided to hook me up with a good deal on specs and an eye exam. About an hour later and several tests he told me I had 20/20! WooHoo, heres the bad news. I have a stigmatism in my right eye that has caused headaches and such, according to him. He flipped through the little glass clicker a hundred times and he said he kept coming back to the same two. I was happy about that until I heard that my left eye has nothing wrong and my right eye is only 2-clicks. It almost the lightest prescription there is but my eyes continuously focus back and forth all day long when im reading or something..... I work in an office so you can imagine. I go in next week to pick out some glasses... The left eye will be clear and the right eye will be the 2nd weakest prescription they make. It stinks. I have to wear these stupid things because my right eye doesn’t focus 100% with my left..... oh, and they don’t make contacts that weak so I’m stuck in frames. Oh well. Shaun_300
Re: Stinkin Glasses! yep, i had the same problem back in grade 7. (6 years ago) they prescribed me with a weak pair of glasses. i couldnt see any better with them, so after 6 months or so, i stopped wearing them. Orion_70
Re: Stinkin Glasses! I have the same problem.. I only wear my glasses when it get's dark or very low light, then they make a world of difference.

I have to wear glasses when I'm not wearing my contacts and I really don't like it...especially when I'm hunting.
too_pointer
Re: Stinkin Glasses! Well, we will call you 4 eyes LOL. I wear reading glasses all the time, and really need them for everything. At least there is something out there for you to see better too_pointer
Reloader
Re: Stinkin Glasses! Better than my father...he was declared legaly blind by the military when they drafted him for Nam. He is nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other. One eye is 400/20 the other is 20/400...He shoots straighter than anyone else I know though. He just picks they eye best suited to that shot and closes the other...
buckbuster11
Re: Stinkin Glasses! I know how that is. I just got back from the eye doctor actually. My stigmatism finally got bad enough that I could get contacts to correct it. This is nothing new for me though, I've had glasses/contacts since I was in the first grade. LifeNRA
Re: Stinkin Glasses! I too wear glasses, but my eyes have not changed for the last 16 years! But this all might change now because of the diabetes. Time will tell. BTW, you should get your eyes checked at least every two years!
