7th
Re: Debt of Honor: Hanoi Jane Slugshooter, if you will look, I also said that I did not wish her any harm. Yes for years I hated this woman as bad as I said. I would say that I am getting older and that is why I said the part about not wishing her harm, I will leave that up to God. Having grew up in the '60s and with my father in the Green Berets, I got to see this war from a point most did not. I allways supported the troops and allways will! What people like her did was something that should to this day make any Proud Amarican hide in shame that we alow her and her crony's to run free. But as a man in uniform, I have to fight for the rights of everyone not just the ones I feel have the right to have them. Carbonhunter: Try Honoi Hiltion and 5 Years to Freedome. The last one was done by a man that tought a class that I had to have back in the army in the '80s. Slugshooter, I will not get down doing anything to get crap started but I do not see anything as you do and don't realy care how you feel about things. I just have to let you do as you feel is right as long as it don't cross my beleafs. That is pushing anyones rights to far. I will respect you right to thing that way, but remember that I have that same right.
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: Debt of Honor: Hanoi Jane [ QUOTE ] She took them all without missing a beat. At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper. Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly what I was saying earlier in the thread. Let God forgive her, not me, and certainly not the men that was involved. How can any member or former member of the military not understand....Hey CH, rent the movie Hanoi Hilton also. It's a true story that really tells the story of this thing named Jane Fonda. Look, the only thing I knew of Jane Fonda was of her anti-war stance, they've had pics of her here in Fayetteville from back in the 70's protesting Vietnam. I was in the military also, I could care less if someone protested me back then. I don't agree with what is going on now, but I don't stand on a corner spitting on people. All I had heard was that she posed on an anti-aircraft gun, she apologized for that. I have heard nothing of the other stuff except for on here. If it happened like was said, then she isn't worth much more than a piece of garbage, and I am sorry for sorta sticking up for her. Only she and God knows if she is sorry about it, it's not my job to pass judgement and mete out punishment.
