Guest rutnroy
just purchased a bd matrix blind . it has the shoot thru screen 360 degrees. i know it's going to be great for a bow, but was wondering if anyone ever shot thru the screen with a shotgun ? just never heard of anyone trying this. wondering if it would affect the pattern at all. GWSmith
Re: shoot thru screens Ever shoot any gun near dark time and see the FLAMES shooting out the end of the barrel.....screen flame retardent????possibly would not be the best thing if the blind caught on fire
Tominator
Re: shoot thru screens I have the shoot through screens on my blind, but I don't have the guts to launch an arrow through it. I just don't know if I believe that it won't affect the flight of the arrow. I don't think it would affect a shotgun pattern much at all. Guest BaerBucks18
Re: shoot thru screens I heard that you are only suppose to shoot fixed broadheads through the mesh and not the mechanicals. I shoot mechanicals so I was wonderin if anybody can relate to this myth that I heard?? Do you think it would be worth it for me to use the mesh with my mechanicals??? too_pointer
Re: shoot thru screens Pretty hard to believe you can shoot a broadhead though the screen but not shotgun pellets Yes, it might damage it more, but certainly it won't change the pattern !! As far as mechanicals, just try them for sure . I would bet not !!! too_pointer

craig mack
Re: shoot thru screens My concern would be if you dont get the end of that barrel to the outside of your shooting window would the concussion from the muzzle blast hurt you ear drums. My dad shot a deer once and he didnt have the end of his 300 weatherby all the way out of the window of his blind when he shot and he said he thought his ears were going to start bleeding. I wouldnt do it.
Bow Hunter Derek
Re: shoot thru screens [ QUOTE ] Does anyone Know how to replace the Screens On Double Bull Blinds? [/ QUOTE ] Go to Double Bull All the screens are replacable. As far as shooting a gun through the screens, hey it's your blind, go for it. Just don't do it out of my blind. As far as mechanical heads go, you are not supposed to shoot the ones that have the "L" shape to the end, like the NAP's have. I believe Rocket makes some heads without the "L" shaped end that Double Bull approves. I only shoot fixed blades through my screens and I've never had them effect the shot in any way.
