BuckNrut
Where can I find BROWN chalk suitable for chalking box calls? Years ago I purchased a push button type box call (Quaker Boy Easy Yelper) but it came with blue chalk. I've heard using red/white/blue chalk is not advised. borch
Re: Chalk for box calls I've used green chalk, brown chalk and beige chalk for my boxcalls. All the major call manufacturers make the stuff. Anyone who carries turkey calls would likely have some. Borch
huntn4bucks
Re: Chalk for box calls I really don't know if color makes any difference but you just want to stay away from oil based chalk. I bought some brown boxcall chalk at Wal-Mart last year.

CamoGuy
Re: Chalk for box calls I have some really old chalck (like 20 years old) that is light blue and white. I used to used it until one day it hit me that my box call was covered in blue & white chalk, which from a distance, could be mistaken for a gobblers head. I decided to find a different color. Now I used green.
