And then when were all done we'll do a story for the on line journal. Cabela's has become our camo supplier/sponsor with 6 Pocket silent weave pants, long sleeved t shirts all in Hardwoods HD and more. So a big thanks to them, Renzo's decoys ( hunt host) .

Re: Forum Hunt in Missouri , updates every day

Well, here we go. We've had a great time so far with the Renzo gang in Iowa. We didn't draw tags so we're hunting in Missouri, about 30 minutes away. Near a town called Grant City. I managed to score the first morning with my first ever bird. It was a 20 pound 3/4" spurs, and a 9 inch beard! Here's a few pictures from the first afternoon and the first day. We can only hunt here till1pm.

Last night was prom nite in Mt Ayr. We couldn't believe our eyes when we saw a young man loading his date ito his John Deere tractor to head to prom!

This is a shot of the three of us. myself, Steve Bailey our host with Renzos Decoys, and our very own Tim Andrus. We were getting ready to head out scouting on Sat. evening.

This is our guide Brandon Greene talking with Steve and Tim about where we need to start searching for birds in the 1000 acre area we were in.

We didn't hear any birds and weren't able to roost one due to 30+mph winds on Sat. We did find a bit of sign though and it turned out to be about 200 yards from where I finally connected.

Here's a shot of Steve Bailey and myself with our birds. Steve took his on Sat morning during a brief period of calm winds.

Re: Forum Hunt in Missouri , updates every day

Hey guys, gals tim here on Bill's laptop.........

Here's the real story Bills turkey was blind in one eye and couldnt see out of the other. And when he shot the bird its spurr was caught in the fence. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No really it was a great morning in the turkey world for Bill taking a fine Missouri bird. Couldnt happen to a nicer guy.

As for me had 3 gobblers going but couldnt close the deal. I ended up learning the terrain as I went. The map showed everything good but how deep some ravines were. Well no more baby fat on me after climbing those all day. So its off to bed shortly to give them a shot tommorow.

Well keep you posted

Well, Tim is on a plane on his way home. He managed to get close to a few birds this morning but couldn't get off a shot. Weather has been awful. We saw a funnel cloud as we headed to the airport. I have another day here at the lodge then I'm off to Centerville Iowa to meet and interview Tony Knight. Should be very cool.
