JimT
I took a video today shooting a water jug with my 25-06. Thought some of you might like to see a few stills I captured. Bullet was a 120gr CoreLokt.
Shaun_300
Re: Water Jugs yup, it sure does a number on them! i always love takin a few 2L bottles full of water out and blasting them! a funny thing to do, is after Halloween, take an old Jack-o-Lantern out, but a 2L bottle full of water in it, and let er rip sure is a fun way to dispose of the old pumpkins! wtnhunt
Re: Water Jugs Never thought of taping shooting jugs. Cool pics. Bet 3 jugs was not quite enough to stop your bullet.
JimT
Re: Water Jugs Actually, the bullet went thru the water jug and two plastic juice bottles before stopping in the first kitty litter container.

bearcat
Re: Water Jugs At what range were you shooting at? I tried a similar test last year with my 30-06 shooting Hornady 150 grain Interbonds. I filled 3 one gallon oil jugs full of water, stacked them in front of one another and backed them with 5 scrap pieces of 1/4" plywood. I shot them from 225 yards. The bullet exploded all 3 jugs and penetrated two of the pieces of plywood. Awsome performance in my opinion.

spyderpancake
Re: Water Jugs it is also fun to freeze a 2 liter bottle of water and then cut the bottle off and shoot the ice. It makes a mini blizzard.
AJ
Re: Water Jugs I used to enjoy adding some dye to the water and shooting them in the winter. It made for some impressive red splatters in the snow.
