Reloader
I have a friend that has a groundhog problem in his alfalfa field...problem is they are only about 50 yards from the house so he never sees them when he is outside to shoot them...they get underground quick. He has a terrace about 20 yards behind his house and it drops about 12 feet to the field and the Groundhog holes are about 30 yards into the field. He has a sweet Savage 223 varmint weight rifle with the acutriger, tactical scope, and bipod...I can shoot 1/4 to 1/2 inch 3 shot groups at 100 yards with this thing and FMJBT's. but you can't hit what you can't see.... Any sugestions for getting them out in the open?
dodge4x4
Re: Groundhog problem i'd say go out with a blind or just sit back, and then just get out there early and wait for the little critters to pop out and hammer 'em.

Straight Shooter
Re: Groundhog problem Sounds like some great bowhunting practice to me. Put down the gun and use a bow from the terrace. If it's only about 30 yards to the holes, that's perfect.
