Guest Colorado Bob
I just bought a 7Mag. It was to good a deal to pass up. It's a 110L, 2x7 Varx-II, and has the prettiest custom walnut stock that I've seen in a long long time. It has silver inlays/leaf in the stock around the cheek piece & a silver forearm cover. The checkering is NOT the standard cut. It's more of a knurl or wood worm pattern. Alsmost like tree bark if that marks any sense. It also had a trigger job----not your standard Savage trigger--this one is crisp. All this plus a sling that had "Robert" tooled into the leather. I could not say no-----what's $300 anyway. Anyways-- it's a 7 Mag & I'm thinking of using the new 154 grain Hornady Interbond bullets. Has anyone used them? Also which powder gives the best accuracy in your 7Mag. I've always been an 06 guy-----but change is good. I priced some 7Mag premium shell------$30 a box---I think I'll roll my own.

OJR
Re: 7mm mag----interbond bullets I have used the Interbond bullets and have had great results with them in my 270 and 308. In the 7 Mag, you might try some Reloader 22. A friend of mine is using that and he is getting good accuracy with it!
JimT
Re: 7mm mag----interbond bullets The interbond is a good bullet...I have no idea about the powder to use though...
iron buck
Re: 7mm mag----interbond bullets Sounds like a nice rifle Bob! We need to see a picture of that one. I am curious to see the checkering pattern you are talking about. Plus......with a sling like that it looks like the 7mm was waiting for you My 7mm mag. a LH Model 700, shoots 150 grain factory core lockts into 1 MOA. With 150 grain balistic tips I get 1/2 MOA. All in all , a great long range big game caliber.
Reloader
Re: 7mm mag----interbond bullets My Dad's 7mag prefers nosler partitions and Aliant's Reloader 15.
