OJR
Just started a batch of 8 trays of jerky in the dehydrator! Used Cablela's mesquite and some other additional spices! In about 4 hours it should be done! Last batch was just awesome! I used ground beef and shot it onto the trays! The kitchen sure smells good! Guest chigger1
Re: Jerky! try using oven by hanging the strips of meat from the racks with toothpicks. tastes better than the deyhdrator
longislandhunter
Re: Jerky! Along with my new dehydrator I also recently purchased several extra jerky grills for the oven so I could make larger batches of jerky when I do use the oven. With the batch I plan on making I may make 1/2 in the dehydrator and 1/2 in the oven. Either way it comes out great.
LifeNRA
Re: Jerky! I just so happen to have ten pounds of burger and seasons sitting in the frig waiting for the dehydrator tomorrow morning. I too will be shooting it onto my trays. Makes darn good jerky!
