Guest gobblergetter15
Re: grass carp You can either snag em or shoot em with your bow, or use some corn on a bobber.
jerdanmagic
Re: grass carp when I was younger, I used to catch them in one of my parent's ponds. Mix up some Wheaties and Strawberry Soda into little dough balls about half the size of a golf ball. Then put on a real small hook, like a trout hook. They go wild for that stuff!! Shhh... don't tell anyone about that secret recipe, lol!!!
LifeNRA
Re: grass carp Are threse grass carp orange, white, and black spots? If so they are coy. They might be very hard to catch. Since they eat mostly underwater grass. The corn idea might work with a split shot and on the bottom. Not the bobber since they are bottom feeders. horst
Re: grass carp Dont how big your pond is or how deep but if you get another guy you might be able to sien them out with a net. Sponsor a kids fishing derby for carp and let some of the local kids come in and fish them out, give whoever catches the most carp a prize of some sort. That could be kinda fun to. Otherwise if the waters real clear Id just get a little boat and drift around shooting them with a bow for a weekend.
Guest gfourhunter
Re: grass carp i know the kind of grass carp he is talking about. one of my friends has them in his pond. the only way he cought them was to start off feeding them bread and get them use to it. then one day sneak a hook in a pice of bread. the fight is on. dont kill the fish for they are verry expensive. they are about 50-75 dollers for a finger size. they eat grass and allergy in your lake or pond. not like a regular carp you catch in a river or ect.
