Whats is a good hang on stand?

I typically use a climber but for some private areas I hunt I want to hang a hang on stand. What are some good ones to consider? Summit looks like they make some good ones and the new loggy hang ons look good as well.

Which ones are the safest and most reliable and work good for you? Also what do you use for climbing steps to get into your stand? Appreciate any help, i'm new to the whole hang on thing.

Had two of those stands in the past and was completely satisfied with them...largest platform in the industry(at the time anyways). I recently bought 2 HuntersView RazorBack stands @ Wally World(platform size seems to be the same as my old Gorrilla stands) for $38 each......also very happy with them only difference is the seat is 1/2 the size of the Gorrilla Stands but still comfortable and the stands are well made...one is in the woods now and another is on standby mode...LOL(in other words...have not taken the time to hang it yet... crazy.gif).

Any of the Summit Headhunter series. I have the Headhunter Lite. It is so easy to setup. It is very light, quiet, comfortable and most of all, rock solid! It is the 2003 model, so it would be the Headhunter X4 now. Use a Summit Swiftree Ladder with it and you'll have the untimate in hang-on stand products.

Ill be the third to say that. I have four of them up now, and its the first time i fell good in a hang on stand. I have huge feet and a small platform just wont cut it. These stands let me move all around.

good stands even better price...cheeeeeppp i think i paid $79 for mine and they came with a fourty doller safety harness.

Gorilla Silverbacks are the lightest and best, by far! Also the best for the $$.. they are cheaper than most other stands in their category, and also much better IMO.

I bought a Lone Wolf Alpha last year. Like it because it's absolutely quiet. This to me is the most important thing. Also weighs about 10 pounds.

Are those Gorilla stands quiet? Wouldn't mind saving the money, but only if it's silent. wink.gif
