Check out these spurs!

Finally got my first gobbler for 2005! He came in silent this morning strutting to my Buckwing Bobblehead Decoy. He was putting on a show and when he saw the Buckwing strutting jake decoy, he was ready to fight. He strutted over to the jake and started to kick his but when I shot. I used a Benelli SBE Steady Grip, Rhino .660, and Nitro 4x5x7 hevi shot. He went down like he was hit with a sledge hammer! Thanks.

Re: Check out these spurs!

Here's a better picture. I'm still learning about the picture post! He weighed 20 lbs, had a 10" beard. I measured one spur at 1.5" and the other at 1.25". I think he was definitely a dominant bird as all of his breast feathers were worn off and given his weight. He was beuatiful to watch as he strutted in to the decoys. Thanks for all the replys!
