Just found out that you can't jug line here unless they are attached to the bank somehow.

"NO free floating devices"

How can I get away with that legally?????

Tie them off with about 100 yards of line????

Someone's gotta be doing it, cause they sell the little white jugs in the fishing dept. here at Wal-Mart!!! confused.gif

Re: Just found out...

I would think a jug line would be exempt, it's actually not "free floating" since it is anchored to the bottom, I would ask a game warden if I was you.

There are 2 types of jug lines that I have seen, some that are "free floating", they have a small sinker on them, just to keep the bait down, then there is the ones like mine, that have an anchor that keeps them in one place, unless you get a big fish on that may drag it off.

Use a limb line. Do the same as with a jug, but instead of the jug, tie it to an overhanging branch or a root.

Well, we use limb lines ( bush hooks) on the river. There's nothing to limb line from around the lakes.

Guess I'd have to drive a stake down along the bank to tether the stupid jugs to.

Gator's right, I need to find a game warden. The DNR's for Florida aren't very clear.

Oh well. I really want to try this. Sounds like a blast.

NOPE. I need to get my husband to ask the guy lives down the road from us. He's a game warden.

Keep your fingers crossed.
