THIS MORNING WAS ONE OF THOSE MORNINGS IN WHICH IT COULD HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL. I HAD TOMS ALL OVER THE PLACE , BUT I ALSO HAD DEER ALL AROUND AS WELL. THE DEER CAUGHT MY WIND AND STARTED BLOWING . IT WAS SAFE TO SAY THE DEER RUINED MY MORNING BY SPOOKING MY TOMS. HOPEFULLY SATURDAY MORNING THE DEER WILL NOT COME THRU. GOOD LUCK TO THOSE WHO ARE ABLE TO GET OUT TOMARROW.

Re: ANY INDIANA BOYS TAG OUT THIS MORNING?

I got uot after work. Got to the woods at 7:30. About 50 yards from the truck I hit the crow call....gobble right away. I moved in closer and hit the crow call again..same thing. He was on the opposite side of a pine thicket about 120 yards away. I started calling and he gobbled at almost everything I gave him but wouldn't come closer. I never seen him to see if he was with hens or not, never heard any hens, but he just went quiet.. I didn't call real agressive, mixed it up with alot of clucks and purrs, don't know why he didn't come in, unless he just didn't want to come through the trees, there are alot of blow-down trees and limbs from winter..?? Only about an hour and a half and I should be sitting waiting for him to fly down to my decoys!!! grin.gif
