deerslayer06
Hey fellas' Just letting ya'll know about my opening day in Indiana today. A little dissapointing but Ill get em next time. My dad let me skip school today so I was all excited to get out there. It was a great morning, hens moving all around us and then at about 2:00pm my dad spotted 3 toms at about 150 yards. we glanced at these big ole boys through the binoculars. it was great. I let out a few calls and the birds puffed up and started my way. All of a sudden they leave the field. Im hoping that they are going to circle around me and return to my position. Turns out a minute later that a lost mushroom hunter is walking toward their previous direction 50 yards infront of us. WOW, i was dissapointed. Hope one is around next time im out. Its really dissapointing though. Two years ago I spotted two jakes on the other side of a hill. We started to call them and the next thing we knew a four wheeler was driving strait towards the turkeys.
