For some reason I awoke this morning with Jim Valvano on my mind - little did I know, that today marks the 12th year since he passed away. He was truly an amazing man for all those that remember him. I'm posting a link to his acceptance speech at the 1993 ESPY awards. It was a powerful speech that hit me deeply when I first heard it and I have it printed here at my desk to read from time to time. Some people believe that nothing good comes from death, but he is a prime example of how his character will live on for ever.
