Re: What in the - EARTHQUAKE

They are interesting! I have been through quite a few of them while living in Kalifornia. I have been through many of them up to 6.9 on richter scale. I was able to experience the big one in 1989. Our house was about 5 miles from the epicenter but was fortunate and had no damage. San Francisco which is 80 miles or so north had mega damage. Animals can sence it comming or they feel the small vibrations before we do. I watched a flock of quail and a dozen horses scattering a couple seconds before another aftershock would hit. The wierdest thing about earthquakes is you don't know if it is a small one close by or if half the state fell off a few hundred miles away.

Wow! I remember folks talking about the one UT mentioned.I must have slept though it.LOL.I do remember one here about 26 years ago.My youngest sister was just a baby and I had fed her a bottle and set it down on a table.I was looking at it and the milk was jerking around in the bottom.Didn't know it was a earthquake until the next day.Best I understand we are not too far from a fault line, theres' one somewhere north of here about N Tenn. I think. shocked.gif
