Professors making an impact

Have any of you had or have a professor or professors that have made an impact on you? Tomorrow is probably the last time I will see one of my professors (final exam) as the phys.ed/recreation department is "letting go" her and one of the phys.ed professors. She is truly an oustanding Christian example. She made classes easy and fun yet she challenged you to think and "step outside the box". When asked to talk about what we thought on something, her saying is "You can change your mind in 10 seconds or 10 minutes." She is a Therapeutic Recreation professional, her passion lying with the disabled. It is a shame the college is letting her go because she has made an impact on myself and others. She is special also because when you are in her class, she has the role of professor but she is like a long lost friend. She always teases me about being so quiet in class,lol. There is no right or wrong answer in her class and in all of her classes I've had, we've never needed a textbook . Thank you Professor Markell (I doubt she'll see this,lol) and thankyou to the other professors/teachers (like Tominator and anyone else) who go beyond being just a professor.

let's review this. she's good, caring, christian, and makes an impact. of course they let her go. she's making the all look bad. don't forget, our tenured professors are 92% liberal.

If she were a professor in something other than Therapeutic Recreation I would say possibly a long shot to what you posted. But there isn't much politics in that area I am sure.

I had a few in University that had a major impact(not the one they intended). Their attempts to push their liberal agendas on me made me even more conservative. This year i have had 3 that really have had an impact. In fact we they were at our end of term party this weekend. lol All three not only took the time to get to know us personally, but sahred person insight on what they have learned. They went out of their way to share anything that may help us in the future. Also they went above and beyond to help us with anything to set us up for getting good jobs. It was a nice change since for teh most part the previous four years really didn't include any outstanding instructors.

I can remember a few professors that made an impact on me.

Teachers in general typically make a pretty big impact on your life, wouldn't you agreee? Hmmmmm?

Mine was my 11th grade Chemistry teacher. Never forget the day he told me what he "expected" out of me in his class. Made me a better student and person. Thanks.
